WHY IT MATTERS
Start with the facts. Confirm the scope.
Bring the records listed below to an initial property review. The written proposal must confirm technical availability, preparer, reviewer, deliverables, fee and timing. Your CPA determines the tax treatment and whether a study is worth its cost for your situation.
Plain English: you are not creating a new deduction. You are identifying when supported pieces of the property may be depreciated.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Frequently asked questions.
How does the study fit into my CPA’s work?+
The study documents property costs and proposed classifications for your CPA to review. Your CPA determines tax treatment, applicable limitations, elections and return filings; the study does not replace that work.
How much will my study cost?+
Use the calculator for an instant standard study quote, then send the short form for a written proposal. We confirm property details, scope and timing before payment.
Is the study fee the same as estimated tax savings?+
No. The study fee pays for the agreed work, while any estimated tax benefit depends on the property and taxpayer. Review them as separate figures with your CPA.
What should a written quote include?+
Look for the property and scope, deliverables, preparer and reviewer, fee, timing and any additional charges. Ask for unclear items to be resolved before accepting the proposal.
